This web site has been all over the local news here. Myrtle Beach has a lot of nerve saying they're better than Virginia Beach! Just because they have more golf courses, lower hotel and restaurant prices and a local amusement park doesn't mean they're better than us. I mean, come on, where else can you sit on the beach and watch Navy FA-18 Hornets fly so close over your head that you can tell the pilots eye color! Where else can those same planes fly so close that unless you're speaking in sign language you must cease your conversation until they pass.<br /><br /><a href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_g-GuYs1vrpo/SC2ED75Gy5I/AAAAAAAAASE/8gNrCUXrnf8/s1600-h/Beachstreet.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_g-GuYs1vrpo/SC2ED75Gy5I/AAAAAAAAASE/8gNrCUXrnf8/s400/Beachstreet.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200958347834477458" /></a><br /><br />And let's not forget about the family friendly atmosphere in VB! Watch your mouth you pig! You can also be fined if you drive down Atlantic Ave to many times in an hour. I never really understoodd WHY people would want to drive down this road more than once an hour. You can't see the beach, it's lined with nothing but hotels and shopping anyway! They even pipe in elevator music and turn on tanning lights at closing time on Atlantic Ave in the summer time!<br /><br />But what's really great about this is that VB is fighting back! I mean, take a look at the new <a href="http://www.virginiabeachtourismbureau.com/">Virginia Beach tourism online ad</a>. Who can argue after seeing this which beach community is better?<br /><br />I just thought you folks should know about this war.
