I wonder why...
I'm just gonna spew some random stuff here...don't mind me.
I've figured something out. I really don't like watching Sportscenter after the Giants lose a football game, but I really DO enjoy watching it after the Cowgirls lose...all that means is that I've not minded watching Sportscenter most of the time this football season! Hehehe
I heard one of the Ravens players say...I sure hope they enjoyed their little celebration! Good riddance to that ugly stadium! Yeah, I've been there. It sits right off the freeway. It's painted like an old navy ship that's sitting in a boat grave yard. Fifteen different shades of gray. Like they buy whatever's on sale as long as there's gray listed in the color somewhere! Who knows, maybe they just mix up all the left over paint and that's the color it turns into.
Is it just me, or does T.O. give up on at least one play in every game? I seem to see him lay up at least once every game when the ball is coming his way. I heard the fans see it in the Giant game. It would have been a TD more than likely. I saw him do it last night too!
If it wasn't for Roger Staubach, Emmitt Smith and the cheerleaders, not necessarily in that order, I really wouldn't like one little thing about the Cowgirls. I wonder what kind of career numbers Roger would've had if he hadn't honored his commitment to the Navy after four years at the academy? Smith had one of his most incredible games against the Giants, running for somewhere around 225 yards and a good deal of it coming with a separated shoulder! And there was that poster I had when I was about 18...remember the cheerleaders were really bad one year and posed for Playboy! Yeah, I know, I'm a pig. Sorry, what can I say? I mean come on man! The Giants don't even have cheerleaders! WTF is that all about?
Navy played some good football for about three quarters yesterday. It impresses me that they can field a team that can go 8-4. Think about it, anybody that plays football for any of the service academy's is pretty much guaranteed not to have a pro career.
I was stationed in Long Beach, CA back in the day when Napolean McCallum was drafted out of the Naval Academy by Al Davis. Back then the Raiders played football at the Coliseum in LA. They put McCallum on a ship stationed in Long Beach just so he could play football. As I remember it, there were a lot of people IN the navy that weren't very happy with that decision.
That's it, I'm done with my little rant. Gaints got a tough one tonight. I'm hoping they wake up and start to play the football they played earlier in the season...home field through the playoffs, not that they need it, they are the Road Warriors aftere all...
Have a nice day and...
Oh wait, one more thing!
It was a year ago last Friday that one of the most memorable experiences of my life occured. When I met one of the nicest people I've ever met when I was in a pretty bad situation. Look in the archives under last December, it's there. Of course it's there!
Merry Christmas Sidnie, to you and your family!
