The Ugly American
You need one of these!!!
Look what I got...and it ain't even Christmas yet!
This thing is badass! XM2GO comes in one box. It's not like buying a cell phone or anything like that...everything comes included. I have the home power cord, the car power cord, the home antenna the car antenna...everything. I have several different ways to hook it up in my car or my house and I can even wear it on my belt! I can record up to 5 hours of stuff for those times when I can't receive a satellite signal.
In my opinion the price is pretty good too! I paid $199 and it comes with a $50 mail in rebate! The only drawback...$9.95 a month, but now I listen to what I want where I want when I want!
Get one, you'll like it!
Some things they don't tell you...
I was flying across the country the other day for the second of 4 trips (you know, back and forth two times), when the plane I was supposed to leave on had a radio problem. The airline was pretty good about it, they hooked me up with another flight on another airline in another terminal.
Here at my local airport if you leave one terminal you have to go through security again to get ot the other terminal. I also had to go to the American Airlines ticket counter to get a new ticket.
Do you see those two areas kinda circled in red? Those four letters...SSSS...that means you get ot meet Bubba! They treated me as a person who just bought a ticket and decided to fly that morning...I guess that might be an indication of a person crazy enough to do something stupid on a plane. The only good thing I can say about this flight was that it was two legs instead of 3...and my luggage even made it!
Makes for an interesting morning when you get ot the airport 2 hours early like they tell you and then rush you through everything in the end anyway!
What is this?
I'm not really sure what this is...At first I thought it was a Christmas tree, but it can't be! It must be a seasonal shrub or a festive flower, it can't possibly be a Christmas Tree!?!?!
I mean, I took this picture at Pier 39 in San Francisco! They don't do Christmas in San Francisco!
It is a pretty city though. I used to live on this island where I took the picture of the city, back in the day, as they say...marched in parades, presented colors at pro football and baseball games and future homemakers of America conventions!!!
Hey, I was 21 and yeah...life was good then too!
I told you there'd be more!
This is from the baptism weekend before last.
How cool is that? I got my name on a candy bar!
Yeah yeah, you want more...how about this?
No matter what you guys think...
My life is now complete. I have my name on a chocolate candy bar!
We drove to Jersey last weekend...I had a job to do up there.
I was asked to be and excepted the responsibility to be godfather...for the third time! I think I need one of those big rings now...you know, one of those rings like Michael Corleone had at the wedding in the movie The Godfather, part II, all those silly people coming into his study and kissing the ring, like he was the pope or something. I need one of THOSE rings!
It was fun, it usually is when I go to Jersey. It was also the first time I've seen that part of my family since about a month before I went to Germany. I also found some good German beer in a liquor store around the corner from my folks house. It was almost as good as the stuff I had in Germany! The same stuff I had at Oktoberfest, Paulaner...good beer!
I have pictures and I'll share a couple when I get the chance.
So now, I have 4 daughters (2 adopted in Germany) and 3 sons (all godsons). No wonder my hair is gray and my wallet is thin! At least it's not a gray wallet and thin hair!
Life is good!
