I'm environmentally friendly!
The only reason I'm even bringing this up is because yesterday was the first time in a while that I've been able to use this toy of mine.
I sometimes get grief from people because I drive a gas guzzling pick-up truck. I can understand that to a point. My Dodge Dakota with its’ 5.2 liter (318cid) V-8 gets terrible gas mileage. Luckily for me, I only live 15 minutes from work so it’s not that big a deal.
I also have an E-bike.

E-bike is made by a company called
EVGlobal. It’s a 26” bike with a 7 speed gear system. It peddles like a bicycle but it also has a 36 volt electric motor inside the rear hub. It’ll run about 17 miles an hour and it will run for about 20 miles on a full charge. There’s an economy button that cuts power in half and allows the bike to run even longer on a charge. I don’t use it much, I like to run the bike at full speed. It plugs into a standard wall outlet and fully recharges in about 4 hours. Other features include headlight, taillight and brakelight, tons of reflectors and a nice cushy seat.
My daughters have never liked this bicycle. When we lived in AZ I’d always ask my daughters if they wanted to go for a bike ride. In the beginning they were very receptive to the idea. After about the second ride around the neighborhood they decided that they didn’t want to go bike riding with dad. It was too much work to keep up. I told them I’d only run it in the economy mode, but they weren’t buying that load of BS.
This is my smokers’ bike. You peddle with the wind and power into the wind. You peddle down hill and power the puppy up hill. Hell, you can even peddle with the motor engaged! You know, take a little strain off that electric motor from carrying your fat ass around for 20 minutes.
