The explosives were never there!
An NBC NEWS crew was embedded with troops when they moved in to secure the Al-Qaqaa weapons facility on 4/10/03, THE day after the liberation of Iraq. The HMX and RDX explosives were already missing when the American troops and the reporters arrived. Even MSNBC reported the bogus story about missing explosives; you’d think they would talk to the people at NBC. Must be like the CIA and the FBI before 9/11!
The new mouth of the Democratic Party, Joe Lockhart spewed this Monday night: "In a shameless attempt to cover up its failure to secure 380 tons of highly explosive material in Iraq, the White House is desperately flailing in an effort to escape blame. Instead of distorting John Kerry’s words, the Bush campaign is now falsely and deliberately twisting the reports of journalists. It is the latest pathetic excuse from an administration that never admits a mistake, no matter how disastrous."
Sounds more like the latest pathetic excuse from a campaign that tries to distort every good thing this country has done in the past 3 ½ years.
And then the great duck hunter said, "This is one of the great blunders of Iraq, one of the great blunders of this administration."
Maybe kerry thinks we should have gone into Iraq even earlier now!
When asked why the International Atomic Energy Agency might come put with this BS story just 2 weeks before the presidential election, NBC NEWS Jim Miklaszewski quoted one official: "Recent disagreements between the administration and the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency makes this announcement appear highly political."
